P2 has only seen urban and the Tigard Skate Park so far. It'll see Meldrum soon. Thinking of putting gearing and 26's back on, though...

Christian, you need to not comment if you don't know what you're talking about. You'll notice I posted it for him and gave him full credit for the video. And your problem with that is what?

Sent the road gap and the Halette drop on my little bike today. Almost overshot the tranny on the road gap. Things happen faster on a shorter travel bike, I'm finding....

ok i found it yea its pritty basic when you see it youll figure it out.
like i said its brand new not a scratch or anything. but i was woundering if you could send it with shipping fees. and that would be a good deal(trade). i can send it down as soon as you wont to trade i will need your address and stuff as so you well need myne.. add me on msn it would be alot easyer.

I haven't really weighed it, but I'm gonna guesstimate around 38-40lbs.

And you have no proof showing that your bighit can take the same beating as the Lahar. Sorry man, Lahar tested that thing like mad, it can take a hell of a beating.

It takes more force to scratch a carbon fiber frame with a lot of resin, than it does to crack a big hit.

I'm not saying you'll scrape it, scraping isn't the problem with aluminum. Lets say it takes 10 hits with a hammer to scratch carbon. Now, 5 hits with a hammer will crack aluminum. And if you're riding a cracked frame, be prepared for a horrible failure. Aluminum is also worse when it fails. Sharp edges can do more damage when you'll rolling with the frame.

With the amount of force you'd need to put into that frame to scratch it, you'd bend or crack your frame. Also, carbon tends to last longer in certain areas of bikes, as it's flexible, and won't get damaged after a ton of small hits. Look at the seatstays of the scott gambler DH 10.

I've seen broken bars, but that's not a comparison to a frame with tons more resin on it. The bars can only have so much on them, before they weight more than aluminum, but a frame can handle a fair bit more before there's no weight difference. That Lahar bike can take more of a beating than your big hit, sorry to say.

If you'd like to continue talking about carbon fiber, I will, just do it here. Carbon can be hard to scratch, if it has enough resin on it, making it more durable than any leading metal.
